Passenger safety

Ride with confidence, every time

You choose who drives you, you can share every trip, and help is one tap away while you ride.

Four habits for every ride

  1. Pick the offer you trust

Compare drivers’ offers, with their name, photo, vehicle and rating, and accept the one you want.

  2. Check the car and the driver

Before you get in, make sure the driver’s photo, name, vehicle and number plate match what the app shows.

  3. Share your trip

Send your driver’s name, your pick-up and destination, the fare and the arrival time to someone you trust.

  4. Rate the trip

Rate your driver when the trip ends. Riders and drivers rate each other after every trip.

Tools in your app

  • You choose who drives you

You see each driver’s offer before accepting it. A driver is matched to you only when you accept an offer, or when you switch on auto-accept for offers at exactly your fare.

  • Live tracking

Follow your driver on the map from the moment they head to you until you arrive.

  • Trip sharing

Send your driver’s name, pick-up, destination, fare and arrival time to anyone through the messaging app you prefer.

  • Chat and calls in the app

Talk to your driver or rider with in-app messages and voice calls. In City rides and City to City, neither side sees the other’s phone number.

  • Trusted contacts

Save the people you trust on the Safety screen and call them from there in a tap.

  • SOS

Tap SOS during an active trip to alert the Savari operations team with your location.

What SOS does

  • SOS is available during an active trip, for riders and for drivers.
  • It sends an alert with your current location and your trip to the Savari operations team.
  • Once sent, the alert stays open until the Savari team has handled it.
  • SOS does not call the police. If a life is in danger, call the emergency services yourself.

Emergency numbers in the app

The Safety screen lets you call these services directly:

If a life is in danger, call the police or Rescue 1122 straight away.

Passenger safety questions

Who can see my phone number?

In City rides and City to City, you and your driver talk through in-app chat and calls, and neither side sees the other’s phone number.

What happens when I tap SOS?

During an active trip, SOS sends an alert with your location and your trip to the Savari operations team. It does not call the police for you, so if a life is in danger call Police 15 or Rescue 1122 as well.

Can I stop a trip that does not feel right?

Yes. You do not have to continue a trip you are not comfortable with. Get to a safe place first, then tell the Savari team from Help in the app.

How do I report a problem after a trip?

Open the trip in your history and choose Help. Your trip reference goes with your message to the Savari team.
